Actually, a woman recommended this shop to me because of good luck with repairs, so I assume that they treat women well. I cannot comment on their response to screw up since they have yet to screw up on my vehicle. If repairs are taking a little longer than expected, they will stay open late to finish the job. This happened once when they had a problem reaching me to get permission to do repairs they found necessary. The vehicle was in for an overall checkup prior to a long trip (~6000 miles) and I expected them to find things that I was not aware of or hoped were not really that bad. Nothing they found in need of repair has ever been a surprise to me, only a disappointment that I couldn't go another 10,000 miles before getting the repair done. This last time, I was surprised at how much better the truck ran after the tuneup and repairs. I guess it was worth the extra money to get the headgasket replaced - the old caked oil wasn't providing such a good seal after all.

When I first met these guys I had an RV at another shop after a $3000 valve job at another place that was getting a "free" bid on its work. Unfortunately, they told us they needed to replace the engine and it would cost us money as it was work to "analyze" it. I was pretty price-conscious then so I did some research and found Friesens had really good prices on rebuilt certified engines and were almost half the price quoted by this "other" place. Stan seemed really nice on the phone, and he was willing to move it to their shop, too. Well, Stan went and got our RV and after it was all said and done - he told me what was wrong with the engine-- there was a bowling ball size hole in it from throwing a rod- which he was pretty excited about as he'd never seen a rod thrown that bad(It looked pretty cool.) So I guess it was pretty easy to tell we needed a new engine! After that, it was as if they personally owned our RV and checked and fixed everything we needed on it (asking us first) Thanks to them we finally had a reliable, fun RV, and our kids have been so grateful and so are we. It was easy to start using them on our other cars & trucks, Fords, Chevys and even our horse trailer and finally, our lawn mower! Everything they fix either works just right or they fix it until it works perfect. They have often driven me and my children home, to school or wherever we need to go. They sometimes have 10% off coupons and always have coffee. They even CALL me and check to make sure a repair is working well (this is better than my Dr.) Many times they have checked a car for us at the last minute or finished an unexpected job with patience and utter excellence in explaining whats wrong and why it needs to be fixed. I am so happy to have found a "car home" and just want them to be around forever so our vehicles will always run. Long may they run!

We've been working with Friesen's Auto for many many years and he and his small staff of workers are extremely competent at what they do. If you go in, you'll find that he's had his employees take a ton of courses to increase their proficiency in a lot of areas (evidenced by the overflowing wall-full of plaques of certificates), including specific manufacturers and models. Also, they are Christians, which was our initial attraction, at least in the beginning. Plus, they treat you with a ton of respect and are very personable with their customers. They also will communicate with towing companies and get your stalled vehicle in ASAP. There've been a few times where they had to order parts and have taken a few days to fix the vehicle, but they've given us fair warning which let us plan our schedule a little easier. Also, in times where we were forced to leave the car in the shop as soon as we brought it in (it wouldn't run at all), they gave us a lift home. Of course, we live just under five miles away, so it wasn't a whole lot of trouble for them.

Great shop, I have used them for a couple of decades. Originally I decided to continue working with Stan because of how he treated my wife. He was perfectly honest with her, even when I was not there. I recently had a problem with a radiator fan clutch. They replaced it at standard cost and labor. It turned out the new clutch had problems and I went back several months later. Well, the part was under warranty but the labor was not, so I paid that part again. Wouldn't you know the clutch brand was the problem, and they replaced it once again at no cost to me. I was told they wanted to make it right and now, several months later it's still going strong.
