Dear Tom and Ray:
In your weekly radio show on NPR, very often I have heard youuse the phrase "during the third half of our show, we will..."I am not a native English speaker, but I thought there are onlytwo halves to anything. Shouldn't you be really saying "duringthe third quarter of our show," or simply "later in thebroadcast"?
It is just such a great show I didn't want you guys to get dinged on atrivial grammatical error. Or am I simply wrong in my grammar? Please enlighten me.
